His superior and colleagues do not know when he will return to Singapore. Now, it seems, neither does his wife.
Yesterday, Mrs Lucia Ionescu, 49, told The New paper that her husband suffers from heart problems and that is why he had to return to Romania to seek medical treatment.
The housewife said her husband of 23 years, Dr Silvio Ionescu, 49, flew off with their two children, aged 21 and 22, to Bucharest, the country's capital.
She could not explain the type of heart problems he has.
Ya right. And I don't know where my toes are.
Have you read today's Straits Times?
Of how a cab-driver picked up this guy in the Sungei Kadut area (where his "stolen" car was later found), and that he actually made the police call in the cab itself to report the loss.
He left Singapore 3 days later after the accident.
All attempts to contact him now are to no avail.
But you know something?
It's an age-old truth - that karma will catch you, whereever you are, whenever.
